How to improve posture in Bristol this Autumn

As an experienced osteopath in Henleaze, I am often asked by patients how they can improve their posture when they visit my Bristol clinic.

Back pain is a big issue and I treat patients daily with back and posture-related problems.

A recent news story highlighted that more than one million people in the UK are unable to work due to back and neck pain.

With Back Awareness Week rapidly approaching, I thought it would be helpful to focus on posture and the impact on back health.

The results of poor posture can include lower back pain, disc injury, joint degeneration/arthritis, and higher up, shoulder and neck issues and headaches.

Posture plays a massive part in the overall health and functioning of the neck, back and spine. Poor sitting posture is something we can all address with the right advice and help.

One of the most effective ways to combat poor posture and back pain issues is to address your sitting position by using ergonomic seating. I advise all my patients to sit better and move more.
